LSU - ULL times announced, excitement building

June 2, 2015
The first NCAA Super Regional game between LSU and UL-Lafayette will be Saturday night in Alex Box Stadium at 7pm.

Many Purple and Gold and Ragin Cajun fans are planning to head out to campus early that morning to tailgate ahead of the big matchup.

Assistant Tiger Rag Editor James Moran says you couldn't ask for a better first pitch time Saturday.

"Everyone here always wants night games and LSU and UL figures to be about as wild an atmosphere as you're ever going to see," said Moran. "The Box might levitate Saturday night."

The game Sunday will either be at 5 or 6pm.

Saturday night's game will be broadcast on ESPN 2 and Moran says that speaks volumes of the overall national excitement of this in-state matchup.

"This is a great rivalry and it's going to be a fantastic series," says Moran. "So lets put these at night and let the world watch this baseball crazed state tear itself apart."

The game Monday, if necessary, is TBA. Moran feels that the games this weekend will have the same feeling as a big LSU/Alabama football type atmosphere.

"Sure this is a football school, but in my opinion it's the biggest baseball school in the country," said Moran. "And there is a trip to Omaha on the line. I don't think there's a bigger prize."
