The 3 do's and don'ts of Summer Camp

August 7, 2019

We are just a few days from Summer Camp 2019! Can you believe it?

To help you get prepared, here are the three do's and don'ts of this weekend's concert!

Get your tickets!

DO: Get up front for your favorite bands! Marymoor is an awesome venue that lets you get up close with your favorite artists, and we have even seen some take the stage-dive plunge (see 2015 Orwells performance).

DON'T: Sit on someone's shoulders. If you don't get up front early, too bad. But the chances are that if you are up on someone's shoulders, the people behind you can't see and that sucks! Everyone can have a good time if you stay planted on the ground (except when you're bouncing around to Walk The Moon)

What time does each band play at Summer Camp 2019?

DO: Discover some new music! The best part of Summer Camp is that you not only get to see some of your favorite artists, but you get to be that friend that gets to start talking about SHAED, iDKHOW and Oliver Tree before they blow up.

DON'T: Pregame/prefunk too hard. The show starts at 1:00 p.m., which means that it's a long day before the headlining act take the stage. Don't go so hard during the first few bands that your friends have to carry you out before it gets dark out.

DO: Take pictures and share your experience on the internet! #TheEndSummerCamp is about to blow up and you are going to want to remember your favorite moments forever!

DON'T: Record every song from every band on your phone! I know, tons of people will have their phones (and god forbid, their iPads) *shudders* up in the air to record their favorite track from Joywave, but you are enlightened. You read this awesome post about how it's way better to experience it with your own two eyes and lose yourself dancing than it is to delete your pics from camping this summer so you can fit 30 more seconds of "Now".

Brew-B-Q tickets

These aren't rules, but they are suggestions that we hope make your experience THE BEST. Summer Camp is the best and we can't wait to see you all this weekend!
