While most people are stoked for Black Friday deals on November 25, we vinyl junkies are counting down the days until Record Store Day (which happens to also be Black Friday).

It happens twice a year and those two days are the most magical days of the year (Sorry Christmas)! So next Friday come out and join the celebration, sift through some vinyl and talk to actual humans about music. Plus, we're getting some solid RSD only exclusive releases!

Here are the five exclusives I am most looking forward to this year:

Jimi Hendrix - Morning Symphony Ideas

The Stone Roses - Sally Cinnamon (this has not been reissued on vinyl since 1992)

Bishop Briggs - Bishop Briggs EP (comes in a glow-in-the-dark jacket!)

The Wonder Years Soundtrack - Yes, I'm serious. This soundtrack rules and will be pressed on color vinyl exclusively for RSD!

Rogue Wave - Cover Me *Covering songs by The Cure, Psychedelic Furs, Genesis and others. It's a limited edition pressing on hot pink vinyl

And let's not forget the "official film of Record Store Day"! The new Documentary from director/producer Wendy Schneider, The Smart Studios Story. The film features interviews from Butch Vig (Garbage), Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, Nirvana), Chris Walla (Death Cab for Cutie, Billy Corgan (The Smashing Pumpkins)and a ton of other people who were associated with the iconic recording studio, founded by Butch Vig. Totally grabbing this DVD!

I grew up in Connecticut and my hometown only has one tiny little record store, but it was always my go-to escape - my home away from home. It's the reason I fell in love with them. The reason I make a point to go out and buy a record every so often. I would go in and talk to Johnny, the owner, and strike up conversations with the other customers. I've had some of my favorite music discussions in that little store, I even bought my first record there for two bucks!

The best part of celebrating Record Store Day is physically going out to these local stores that share one of our greatest passions, Music.

Yeah, sure I could have downloaded the entire Led Zeppelin catalog online, but then I wouldn't have had the chance to hear Jonhhy tell me what is was like to see Zeppelin live in the 70s. (For under under five dollars, by the way). It's a pretty awesome feeling leaving a record store with a piece of music you cherish, knowing you are supporting not only that band/artist, but a local business as well.

So where do you go to celebrate RSD next week? There are a ton of record stores participating on this magical day here in Seattle!
