Staff Picks: Best Moments From 2018

December 20, 2018

A lot of weird stuff happened this year. Some super awesome, some worth forgetting and some just downright out there. Here are a few moments that really stuck out to The End squad:

Manley: Details of the night will stay private, but I got to take Tom Morello to see the Chris Cornell statue after interviewing him in front of a sold out show at The Croc. Special, special, moment.

Gregr: By far the news that rocked Seattle musicians, music fans, and citizens in a rapidly changing city was news that the legendary Showbox looked likely to be demolished so a developer can build more condos. It's very important we continue to talk about this because it's nowhere near final or safe.

Alyssa: I met Robert Plant after his show at Marymoor Park. He chatted radio and actually said "Hi, I'm Robert" as we shook hands. Like, WHAT! I wanted to show him my Robert Plant tattoo, but I'll save that for next time ;)

Cody: Summer Camp and DTHB were pretty great as well as 3-2-1 Battle! selling out the Showbox!

Steven: Finding out that the Sasquatch! Music Festival would not be returning in 2019.

Leslie: This is such inside baseball, but it was such a cool moment. We were fortunate to have Ben and Nick from Death Cab in the studio to record an interview earlier this year. Sir Mix-A-Lot was here working on his morning show, and wanted to say hi to them. It was so fun to see the 3 of them together and the mutual respect they all had for each other. It was a really special behind-the-scenes moment between people who’ve helped put Seattle on the music map!
