It's the most wonderful time of the year :) We're just a few days shy of December and the city is all ready for the holiday season!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at #PikePlaceMarket! See our tree all lit up for yourself. (--: @Seattleempress ) * * * #MagicInTheMarket #Seattle #VisitSeattle #PNW #PNWwonderland #MerryChristmas #HappyHolidays

Whether you have your tree up by now or not, here are a bunch of festive events to take the boo or kids to in December! Grab that winter coat and a beanie and go explore all that Seattle has to offer:

  • The Annual Green Lake Pathway of Lights is happening Saturday, December 8th from 4:30p-7:30p and is free event! This will be a great way to spend an evening with the entire family. The Green Lake circuit, paths and docks will all be lit with thousands of twinkling candles. It's going to be pretty magical!

  • Snowflake Lane - the region's most festive holiday scene! Every year, Bellevue Square turns into a magical, real-life Christmas snow globe! There will be toy drummers, dancers, falling snow, dazzling lights and festive music to enjoy. There's even a parade that kicks off every night at 7pm from now until Christmas Eve!

  • One of the best holiday movies ever will be featured on the big screen at MoPOP December 23rd and I am beyond excited! I'm talking about Home Alone. The Original. Don't @ me. You can check out all the ticket info and times, here.

  •  Manley says: Can't wait to check out Enchanted at Safeco Field...or whatever "Field" it's called these days!  I'm not much of a skier or snowboarder, but ice skating is totally my thing, and getting to do it around a baseball stadium seems like so much fun. Throw in a light maze, food and drink AND Santa?  <Insert Buddy the Elf excited meme here!>

  • Land of the Sweets: The Burlesque Nutcracker - A Seattle holiday tradition going strong in its 12th year, this show gives the traditional ballet a saucy makeover! I saw this my first Winter in Seattle and loved it! So much fun and you have plenty of chances to catch it. It's running at The Triple Door from Dec. 7th - 30th.

  • The Weekend of Wizardry - This magical 4-day fan created event is coming to Tacoma December 6th - 9th and I am freaking stoked! They have a different agenda for each day; all types of sessions from wands to potting Mandrakes, a sorting ceremony, celebrity panels, photo sessions, deathly hallows and beyond. Just by looking over the website, this event seems to be a must-do for any Harry Potter nerd!
