Earlier today, the music lovers of WA received some terrible news. According to the Daily Journal of Commerce, Vancouver, B.C.-based Onni Group has filed plans to build a 44-story tower with 442 residential units on the Showbox property. They want to replace one of Seattle's most historical venues with apartment buildings and I don't think we should let that happen! Just think of all the incredible shows you've seen at Showbox Market!

My very first Seattle show was Silversun Pickups at the Showbox. I was here for the job interview, bought a band tee, soaked in the Showbox (because I didn't think they were actually going to hire me to work here, ha!)  and to this day, the Showbox Market remains my favorite venue in our beauiful city. People come from all over to see live music at this iconic venue, which just celebrated its 79th anniversary! C'mon, we cannot let our beloved Showbox go down without a fight! Sign the petition and pass it on to everyone!
