It's the most wonderful time of the year! Ya know, the one day of the year where you can find people camped out in front of retail stores to ready, set, trample one another.

Ah, yes. Black Friday. The only reason I venture out on Black Friday is to support local record stores. For real. I am a vinyl collector (or junkie) and love sifting through all the exclusive vinyl. I mean, that's what makes Record Store Day special. We have a chance to get our hands on some exclusive, some never before released vinyl. It's heaven for us music nerds!

You can find the full list of vinyl exclusive we'll be getting this Friday right here. This is what The End squad is stoked about this Record Store Day:

Gregr - While that 20th anniversary Great Milenko ICP release may be tempting, I'd hate to get Faygo on all my other records. I'll be trying to get my paws on a handful of releases some of which will be released again after the first run at RSD.

  1. Fleet Foxes "Electric Lady Studios" session 10"
  2. Bill Hicks "Revelations Live In London" 2 x LP -he's my third favorite comic, after all
  3. Vitamin String Quartet: "The World of Studio Ghibli" a wonderful quartet who have covered tons of End artists now paying tribute to some of the coolest Japanese scores from amazin films.
  4. And definitely not the Cold War Kids release.

Manley - At The Drive-In “Diamante” 10 in- ATDR makes some super weird interesting music, and there are loud guitars in it, so I am in.

Notorious B.I.G. “Hypnotize” 12"...Biggie > Tupac. Fight me.

Branden From The Internet - It’s Fleet Foxes’ “The Electric Lady Session” for me. It’s taken some time for the new record to grow on me, but they remain one of my favorite bands. Four songs from the new record recorded at a live session at the studio Jimi Hendrix created all on a 10” sounds pretty rad.

Alyssa - You will find a ton of classic rock artists in my vinyl collection, but one record that I do not own is Janis Joplin's Greatest Hits album. Pretty stoked that it's getting re-released this Friday on vinyl (for the first time in 27 years!)  That baby is getting repressed on a cool smoky green colored vinyl. Dig!
