LCD Soundsystem to replace Frank Ocean on Sasquatch lineup

May 5, 2017

LCD Soundsystem is set to replace Frank Ocean on the Sasquatch! Music Festival lineup at The Gorge this year, according to a press release sent out by the festival.

Full Sasquatch! lineup

LCD Soundsystem will headline the night of Friday, May 26, their first performance at The Gorge since 2010.

Frank Ocean was listed as the first headliner for the festival, but the announcement tweet from the official Sasquatch! account was pulled, which left festival-goers confused about whether or not he would be on the final lineup. However, when the final lineup was announced, he was there. Now, Ocean has to pull out because of issues beyond his control, according to the release.

Fast forward to May where LCD Soundsystem has two new songs (below) and is working on releasing a new album after a hiatus.

This is big news for the band as speculation around live shows and whether or not there would be more festival announcements grew.

In other Sasquatch! news, Portland-based Blitzen Trapper was also added to the 2017 lineup, replacing Benjamine Clementine, most recently known for his Gorillaz collaboration on "Hallelujah Money."
