As a kid who played in my high school's jazz band back in the day and also listened to a whole lot of Daft Punk, this is the kind of stuff I am all about.

DAFT SCIENCE: This Daft Punk / Beastie Boys rework is glorious

A German 15-piece orchestra called Rudfunk-Tanzorchester Ehrenfeld (Radio Dance Orchestra of Ehrenfeld) took Daft Punk's 2001 jam "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" and turned it into a jazzy string and brass track to take to the disco halls.

While you won't find a lot of vocoders in most classical or jazz ensembles, the guy running the show for Rudfunk (Rudfunk will be the name of my first-born) absolutely nails the cover of the French duo.

The end product doesn't sound too out of place of where Daft Punk went with their most recent album Random Access Memories, which moved the band in a more funky direction a la Giorgio Moroder.

What do you think of the cover?
