This is the most expensive condo ever for sale in Seattle

February 7, 2017

It's official. Seattle Condos have finally transcended to the next level of expensive, leaving the "stupidly expensive" range and officially reaching the "Wait, people make that much money here?" category.

What does $2,000 rent get you in 10 different Seattle neighborhoods?

A Belltown penthouse in the Bay Vista tower has recently been listed for $13.8 million and has unobstructed views of the Space Needle, Elliot Bay, Mount Rainier, and pretty much everything else in Seattle.

It even probably comes stocked with Macklemore as your butler.

The tower is highlighted in the photo below, and according to Zillow, the 5,732 square foot condo was a collaboration from designer Gregory Carmichael and architect Rick Sundberg and comes fully furnished and costs about $2,408 per square foot.

Oh, and there's five bathrooms for this three-bedroom condo, so you, your spouse, your kid, and both your dogs don't have to worry about getting in each other's way in the morning when you're getting ready.

The new listing reminds me of the "Frasier" apartment, the mythical apartment that the Kelsey Grammer's radio-host character from the hit show set in Seattle resided in, which local realtors estimated would cost just under $3,000,000. That's chump change compared to this new listing.

Is any place worth that kind of money? Do you think some big-wig Amazon/Microsoft exec or Kelsey Grammer snatches the place up in the coming weeks?

All I know is my Zillow recommendations for the next few months are going to be a tad skewed.
