MTV remembers Real World Seattle, confirms they're coming back

Rewatch the slap heard 'round the world!

June 22, 2016

In case you didn't know already, the pinnacle of American entertainment over the last couple decades is coming back to Seattle for the first time since 1998!

Yes, I am talking about MTV's The Real World. It has finally been confirmed from the mouth of MTV that the show will be returning to Seattle and the house will be set up on Capitol Hill around the corner from Cal Anderson Park and Taco Truck Challenge 2016 winners Rancho Bravo.

Last time MTV was in town, the crew set up shop on Pier 70 and the cast worked part-time for us here at 107.7 The End.

To get fans pumped for the return of more dream-house-living probably-super-models that are coming to Seattle, MTV posted a blog featuring the best moments from the 1998 season in Seattle and it included footage from EndSession #8 with band Cornershop, which is the most quintessentially 90s thing they could have possibly done.

Other moments they visited from the 1998 season include the cast seeing the house for the first time, that slap, a guy showing everybody his penis and a secret relationship between cast and crew, among other dramatic scandals that can only exist within reality television.

Are you excited for a brand new cast to make their way back to Seattle and to potentially eat tacos on Cap Hill with the inevitably beautiful people that end up coming here? Let us know in the comments below.
