New Music Round-Up // July 15

Golden Gardens, LVL UP + New old music from Brand New

July 15, 2016

Did you miss new music that dropped this week? Now you never will. Each Friday, The End rounds up all the new music from the last week we think you should be listening to. Sit down, pop on your headphones and let us know what you think of the newest music to land inside our ears. #NewMusicDiscovery

Brand New - "3 Demos, Reworked"

After announcing their impending breakup, Brand New seems to be reflecting on the last decade of music they have created. The dudes recorded a few demos in 2006 that went unreleased until earlier this year. Then, they rerecorded those demos and released those demos again earlier this week. The EP, released through Procrastinate! Music Traitors, has both the new recordings along with the old. Listen to them back-to-back to hear how the band revisited each of the songs and how the sound has changed.

LVL UP - "Pain"

Sub Pop might have just come across the next big thing. New York-based band, LVL UP, just signed to with the Seattle label and announced a full-length record titled Return To Love, due out Sept. 23. The single "Pain" has been on repeat since they released it on Wednesday.

Golden Gardens - "Extrasolar Heartbeat"

Another Locals Only discovery comes to us from our guy Steven Graham. The Seattle band released their new single "Extrasolar Heartbeat" a couple weeks ago, but we can finally share it with you this week. Their sound is good for fans of M83 and the like.

Sloucher - "Flower Girl"

More Locals Only goodness was released this week from Seattle band Sloucher. They released their debut EP Certainty on Friday.
