New Music Roundup // August 5

Young The Giant's new song and TONS of local jams

August 5, 2016

Did you miss new music that dropped this week? Now you never will. Each Friday, The End rounds up all the new music from the last week we think you should be listening to. Sit down, pop on your headphones and let us know what you think of the newest music to land inside our ears. #NewMusicDiscovery

Young The Giant - "Silvertongue"

Young The Giant just shared their fourth song off their upcoming album Home Of The Strange (August 12) just in time for Summer Camp where they play Sunday, Aug. 14! The new single, "Silvertongue" has a bouncy slap-bass groove and a fun drum beat that is going to be killer to dance to at Marymoor Park next weekend.

LEAVA - "Crutch"

LEAVA is another one-man outfit based in Everett, written, recorded and produced by Snohomish County resident Simon Nicol. "Crutch" is a spooky, echo-y track with some great production elements from LEAVA.

Smokey Brights - "In Demand"

Smokey Brights is another local group that Locals Only host Steven Graham passed along this week. "In Demand" is the latest single from the Seattle band for their record Hot Candy, which is due out Oct. 14 via Seattle lable Freakout Records.

Brothers From Another - "Love The Band"

It isn't often I talk about hip hop on 1077theend.com, but when it's local and as good as the latest from rap trio Brothers From Another, we can always make room. These guys met as kids in Little League at Rainier Community Center, rap about growing up in Seattle and have made strides, even playing the main stage at Sasquatch! this year.

Did we miss anything?
