New Music Roundup // November 4

It was a quiet week for new music, but the music we did  get is great.

Japandroids are right back at it having not missed a step since 2012's Celebration Rock. "Near To The Wild Heart Of Life" is an awesome return for the band who hasn't tinkered with the sounds that worked before the extended break started. Even the album cover is a familiar black and white photo of the band. Same as it ever was.

I'm also digging a new band from Los Angeles this week. Badflower just dropped a new EP that ranges from sounds that remind me of Cage The Elephant to Jack White (Deadweather more than White Stripes or The Raconteurs). Give it a listen and let me know what you think.

Band: Japandroids
New: Song - "Near To The Wild Heart Of Life", title track from upcoming LP
For fans of: The Walkmen, kick-ass old-school Japandroids
File under: Albums we can't wait to hear more of

Band: Badflower
New: EP - Temper
Sounds like: Cage the Elephant, Jack White
File under: New Music Discovery
