New Music Roundup // September 2

September 2, 2016

Did you miss new music that dropped this week? Now you never will. Each Friday, The End rounds up all the new music from the last week we think you should be listening to. Sit down, pop on your headphones and let us know what you think of the newest music to land inside our ears. #NewMusicDiscovery

Bastille - "Send Them Off"

The third single off Bastille's upcoming album Wild World came out this week. "Send Them Off" starts out with some groovy bass and deep horns, which gives it quite the 80s vibe. So far, my favorite off the new album, set for release Sept. 9.

A Day To Remember - "We Got This"

Yeah, that A Day To Remember. The pop punk outfit from Florida has been steadily releasing a new album every couple of years since 2005. Their latest installation dropped Friday titled Bad Vibrations. You can catch ADTR live with Blink-182 on Sept. 17 at Key Arena. (Win Tickets)

Bon Iver - "33 'God'"

Since 2011, Justin Vernon (of Bon Iver) has been involved in plenty of projects from collaborating with Kanye to winning Grammys, but that's no big deal. We got the latest from Bon Iver this week titled 33 "God" off the newest album 22, A Million, due out Sept. 30.

Grouplove - "Enlighten Me"

Grouplove just dropped their fourth off their upcoming album Big Mess (Sept. 9) titled "Enlighten Me." Each new track that they release seems to have been starkly different than the last (Traumatized is my favorite so far), so it'll be interesting how Big Mess sounds as a complete package.

Vacationeer - "Unprepared"

Locals Only host and newly wed (congrats!) Steven Graham passed quite a few songs on to me this week, but the one that stuck out the most was "Unprepared" by Bellingham group Vacationeer (not to be confused with Vacationer, Steven reminded me). Also worth checking out the latest from Ever So Android, Smokey Brights and The Moondoggies.
