It's official. After weeks of rumors (and an online leak from the band itself), Pearl Jam has announced The Home Show, two headlining shows in Seattle at Safeco Field on August 8 and August 10.

Ticket information for the two shows will be announced in the next couple of days.

The two shows will be the first performance in Seattle since their 2013 show at KeyArena. To mark the occasion, the band is pledging a minimum of $1 million toward Seattle homelessness initiatives and are asking fans to contribute as well.

The band climbed to the top of the Space Needle to make the official Home Shows announcememt.

Fun fact: The Home Shows mark Pearl Jam’s first hometown appearance in five years plus the largest headlining concert event in Seattle since the Rolling Stones’ two-night stint at the Kingdome in 1981. ⚡️ #THEHOMESHOWS

Pearl Jam’s first ever performance was at Seattle’s Off Ramp Café, which is now El Corazon, in 1990. 28 years, later, the venue has changed and the band has reached legendary status in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Pearl Jam has a long history of playing baseball stadiums and even releasing a live concert video this year, Let's Play 2, of their two-night shows at Chicago's Wrigley Field. Eddie Vedder is a self-proclaimed Cubs fan as a Chicago native, but once sold Mariner's playoff tickets in 1995 at West Seattle's Easy Street Records. The story is amazing.

This will be an event of epic proportions that you won’t want to miss.
