We previously reported that rumors were circulating about Pearl Jam potentially playing two Safeco Field shows later this Summer. Now, it's starting to look like those rumors have teeth.

Though nothing is official from the band, local music reporter Travis Hay reported that multiple sources have confirmed the news on his blog GuerillaCandy.com. The two shows are allegedly set for August 8 and August 10 at Safeco Field. It would be the first time the band played Safeco, and their first Seattle show in five years.

The band last played Seattle in 2013 at KeyArena. Eddie Vedder has since made surprise appearances around the city (he lives in West Seattle, after all), and Mike McCready pops up every once in awhile, but the band has yet to reunite in full in the city where they got their start.

If true, and it seems likely, Safeco will be seeing a lot of action this year, with Foo Fighters set to play the stadium on September 1.
