Run The Jewels remixed "Supercut" by Lorde and it's pretty good

February 28, 2018

Run The Jewels are great. Lorde is great. The rap duo and Kiwi pop princess make for unlikely companions, but as they start their tour of North America with Mitski (beginning in Seattle on March 9), their pairing starts to make a lot of sense.

That pairing is now starting to pay dividends when Run The Jewels took Lorde's hit "Supercut" and gave it the intense, dark RTJ treatment on Wednesday afternoon, which you can listen to here.

Manley had this to say, "If they don’t do this together at their show on March 9 we riot, right, you guys? But for real, having RTJ remix one of your songs is probably the coolest thing that can ever happen to you, followed by getting a food item named after you, and appearing on a Jumbotron, obviously. I like music, you like music, playlist this immediately."

The track was remixed by El-P (aka Jaime Meline aka 1/2 of Run The Jewels).
