Since Blur played EndSession #1 on June 18, 1997, we have been bringing musicians to Seattle to play exclusive stripped-down, and sometimes not so stripped-down, sets for only a few people at a time. Sometimes they are outside, sometimes they are in a basement, but one thing is always certain: seeing bands in this capacity always feels more intimate.

We counted up all of the EndSessions, and then we lost count and kept going anyway. But to celebrate our 25th birthday, here are the 10 best EndSessions since Blur played "Song 2" at Glenn Sounds in 1997:

1. Oasis plays what many still say is "the greatest EndSession ever" (September 9, 2005)

2. Cage The Elephant with Hugo at the EMP (January 23, 2011)

3. The Shins' James Mercer feat. that one woo girl in the background at The Redhook Brewery in Woodinville (February 10, 2012)

4. Blur - EndSession #1 at Glenn Sound (June 18, 1997)

5. Presidents of The United States of America - EndSession #100 at Glenn Sound (August 21, 2008)

6. Elliott Smith at Glenn Sound (February 22, 1999)

7. The Weezer Hootenany at The Vera Project (June 21, 2008)
