The opening track to Imagine Dragons' 2017 album Evolve now has an 11-minute "music film" to go along with it.

Directed by Mark Pellington, the same director who did the video for Pearl Jam's "Jeremy" and U2's "One," the video for "Next To Me" chronicles a love-gone-bad as the main character Reynold (played by Imagine Dragons lead Dan Reynolds) makes a grave mistake and reckons with the idea of forgiveness as he is both on death row and making it home to his wife and son at the end of the film.

Each member of the band played a role in the video, with guitarist Wayne Sermon playing the victim as well as scoring the film. Drummer Daniel Platzman played violin for the soundtrack as well.

The 11-minute movie is worth your time, perhaps more than most music videos that might come across your feed.

What do you think of the film?
