March 28, 2016

Southern California four-piece New Beat Fund recently released their album Sponge Fingerz, which was co-produced by Matt Wallace (Faith No More, Maroon 5) mixed by Tony Hoffer (Foster the People, Beck) and was recorded at LA’s legendary Sound City Studios. For their full-length debut, the band combines sunny surf rock with elements of hip-hop, garage pop and west-coast punk, tossing it all in a blender to cook up a colorful mash-up they call “G-Punk.” For the past two years, New Beat Fund has been touring across the country, playing everywhere from local frat parties and bars to shows with blink-182, Mod Sun, New Politics and the Vans Warped Tour. They are currently on tour with American Authors and their cover of Rae Sremmurd’s hit “No Type” is quickly becoming a fan favorite.
