Hailing from Reading, this U.K. quartet have had a whirlwind year, including two playlisted records on Radio 1, rave write-ups from NME, and they even opened the main stage at Reading Festival in August.

“Loveblood,” the band’s first U.S. single, from an EP of the same title, has had fans comparing these 20-year-olds to Arcade Fire and Kings of Leon. Front man Oscar Pollock also cites David Bowie, The Pixies, Arctic Monkeys, and Bob Dylan as sources of creative inspiration.

“We were trying to make music that was more exciting than our lives,” explains Pollock. “We know there’s a bigger, more exciting world out there.”

The band is currently experiencing this on the BBC Music Presents tour, the first of its kind in the U.S.​
