Elysian Brewing Birthday Party!

by Gregr

Saturday at the Seattle Center, Elysian Brewing celebrates twenty years of making beers in the Pacific Northwest. Congratulations! A bunch of bands are playing and beers will certainly be flowing - gotta get that Space Dust, Dayglow or my favorite, Superfuzz… mmmm blood orange…

What was going on when Elysian first started brewing? Lots of stuff...

1. The Sonics made the NBA finals and gave you something to drink about… #RIPSonics.

USA Today

2. A stork delivered baby Lorde to Mt Doom.

Lorde looking stunning!

3. Bumbershoot looked soooo good!: The Dandy Warhols, House of Pain, Spin Doctors, The Presidents of the United States of America, Sir Mix-a-lot, Crash Test Dummies, G. Love & Special Sauce, Indigo Girls, Ani DiFranco, Mudhoney!

4. This Gin Blossoms song:

Also dominating the radio, Oasis continued to steamroll America, Smashing Pumpkins, Alanis got Ironic, Dishwalla counted blue cars, and Ginuwine rode the pony. They were joined by Jewel, Joan Osborne, Hootie, No Doubt, Sheryl Crowe and so much LL Cool J.

But somehow, the Macarena was the top song of the year…

5. And where would be if 1996 hadn't given us Nintendo 64? The incredible gaming system made its debut and we proceeded to waste so much time playing Golden Eye, Super Mario World, and Star Fox 64! I never did play Ocarina of Time because I'm an idiot.

See you Saturday at the Seattle Center, things kick off at 2pm!
