We're back! In its current form, the Full 90 Extra Time Podcast is stoked for season 2 of fragile Chad Marshall, ol' GI Joe legs Nouhou Tolo aka The Fifty Five Thousand Dollar Man, and Harry Shipp + his supporters the Seamen and Seawomen, This season will still be giving terrible nicknames to our rivals around the league: Sporking KC, Fartland Timbers and new to the league, FCC (FC Cincinnati). Let's get you caught up before this weekend's 2019 kick off!

Offseason Stuff

Ozzie
After ten seasons, Oswaldo Alonso didn't get picked up by Seattle (dumb) but Minnesota United FC swooped in to add some beef to their midfield (smart). That means dudes like Cristian Roldan will have to be solid and switched on to replace the last original MLS Sounder.

New Kit
My god, the soccer offseason and all its crying. Sounders FC launched a new kit sponsor, Zulily, and the internet furiously typed its displeasure.

"I'M SO OUTRAGED" -the internet.

More about that here.

Preseason Stuff

Go to the desert, find a drought.
Sounders FC scored only two goals in the first four matches. Update: a 2-2 draw against San Jose made things look a little better. Don't freak out, our gazillion dollar goal scorer, Raul Ruidiaz, hasn't kicked a ball yet. He scored 10 in 14 appearances last year.

Jordan is back
He's got a lot to prove this season after missing all of 2018 with a blown up knee. The big question marks remain - can he deliver beyond his rookie season where he scored and sprinted and looked awesome only to then sophomore-slump-it harder than the band Bush with Razorblade Suitcase*.

So, 2019 is obviously here and barring any weird injuries (Brad Bradsmith), it's the strongest Seattle lineup to start a season in a few years. Branden seems excited for a strong team while Gregr is out of his damn mind with predictions of this magnitude. Welcome back (not something we're saying to Ozzie until the final week), we missed doing this and are stoked to be back!
