Sounders FC Head Coach Sigi Schmid still thinks the team will be playoff bound this October, and technically summer hasn’t even started yet so it’s still possible. But, the Sounders have spent so much time floating around in the bottom of the Western Conference table that they may need help from deep sea Godzilla or at the very least some scuba gear.

That loss at home to top-of-the-west Colorado must sting like the tendrils of a jellyfish in Elliott Bay. A Sounders team that had more possession than half the prison system of Arizona just couldn’t convert in front of goal. Poor Jordan Morris Hauschka’d the crap out of one of the team’s best chance to equalize.

Stupid Mark Burch returned again to CenturyLink field to play his former Seattle teammates (not sure if any other than Scott and Evans are still the same), and I’ve gotta put my hand up on that Colorado goal. I yelled so much at Burch that I think it gave him the Super Saiyan powers like the evil Vegeta… My bad.

Ross thinks SSFC are close to locking down another midfielder, but is that the right move for a team that needs goals and already have the possession game on lockdown? What is the right move? We’ll talk about it on this week’s pod (below)!

Sounders FC face a tough travel schedule starting Saturday (5/28) at New England Revolution who are equally crap at the beginning of this 2016 season. It's longer travel than most teams in Europe ever face, and SSFC battle jet lag with two more trips to the east coast in following weeks... You can watch this weekend's matches with the Dry Side Supporters in Yakima who welcome everyone to the dry side of the cascades for the 4 p.m. match up:
