Gregr's Life Hax: Using a sponge to get rid of your muscle pain

In the immortal words of Keanu Reeves, "I do Kung Fu."

OK, not really, but I do do (lol) karate! Specifically, I have been taking Kempo classes every week for a while now and it's awesome! If you were at Summer Camp, you got to see some of my moves.

Karate is tough on the body, though, and I need to find ways to ice and recover my muscles every night in order to make sure I am in full butt-kicking shape for the next round of sparring so I found this sweet life hack that I use all the time to get iced without the mess of a bunch of cubes in a plastic bag.

What you'll need:

  • Sore Muscles (I suggest karate)
  • Dish Sponge (unused, preferably)
  • Water

There you have it. Your sponge soaks up all the water as it freezes, and when the water melts, instead of condensing on the outside of the bag and getting your shirt all wet, it gets soaked up right back in the sponge!
