All The Cities You'll Be Able to Fly To From Paine Field

Move Over Unfinished Boeings!

Being able to fly places and see other parts of the country or world is awesome. Driving from the north end to SEATAC super sucks. Paine Field offering commercials flights - assuming they're reasonably priced - is gonna change the game. After doubling the number of flights planned per day, a new impact assessment (bureaucracy) and public outrage period became necessary. Originally planned for this autumn, the start date for flights has been bumped back, but because of the assessment, we've learned all the cities that you'll be able to non-stop to from the greater Everett area.

KING 5 did some actual journalism, I'm just super stoked on the results.

"There are a total of 24 proposed flights out of Paine Field to 10 airports. The list includes:

  • Denver International Airport
  • Las Vegas McCarran International Airport
  • Los Angeles International Airport
  • Portland International Airport
  • Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport
  • San Diego International Airport
  • San Francisco International Airport
  • San Jose Mineta International Airport
  • John Wayne-Orange County Airport
  • Oakland International Airport

Horizon Air, SkyWest, and Southwest will operate out of the terminal."

That is a whole lot of baseball games you could make next year! Also, which is faster: driving to Portland or Flying to Portland? Also also, any chance my wife can just fly from Paine to Bellevue and skip the 75 minutes of traffic? - jk, we don't make Jimmy Graham money.

They can't start commercial flights until all the studies and outrage are complete, so we're hoping for early 2019.
