I loved the eye tester robot looking thing as a kid!

Go get your teeth fixed, your vision checked, your shots updated and do it for free! Thursday through Sunday (Oct. 27-31), thousands of us will head to the Seattle Center to get some basic health needs taken care of.

You may never have been a starting point guard for the Seattle Supersonics #rip, but here’s your chance to get on the floor at Key Arena. Again, it’s all free thanks to the Seattle/King County Clinic.

Tons of doctors and healthcare professionals donate their time to spend four days getting stop-gap services to those who otherwise might have to suffer through health complications.

Last year, more than $3.5 million of care was provided to more than 4,000 patients! This year, they’re hoping to go bigger thanks to the more than 5,000+ volunteers giving up over 75,000 hours of their time in just four days of work!

They’ll be handing out placeholder tickets at 5:00 a.m. every day on a first come, first served basis. We’ll likely see people lining up overnight to guarantee a spot in line.

I’ve had a broken wisdom tooth for LOTS of years and I’ve never gotten it pulled, not because I don’t have the insurance to help pay for it, but because that sounds terrible. People who would have that sucker pulled in a heartbeat must grumble at the fact that I'm just too big a chicken to use my health insurance when they can’t even afford to be covered.

That’s why I’m writing this story. I want my friends who can’t afford even the “affordable” care coverage that is required of all of us to know there’s an option. You just have to commit to waking up early! Check out the official event site for more info!
