MLS Cup Rematch of Destiny (but in Seattle)

Hope they have long term Moose parking in Toronto...

With only two wins, it's been a weird first two months to start the season for the seventh place Sounders FC, and this weekend Toronto come dragging into town with a chip on their shoulders bigger than Homer Simpson's rock of shame (or triumph).

They lost to Seattle at home, in penalty kicks, to a central defender, with the MLS Cup at stake. Sucks to be Canadian that day. I like to think of it as a dig at all those overly polite yet annoying Blue Jays fans that overtake Safeco Field every summer.

Seriously, though, that MLS Cup match must weigh so heavily on Toronto. It produced the greatest replay the league has seen, this save by Stefan Frei... we all know the one, but how did the players across the MLS feel about it?

Seattle is going to have actually play defense at home against a team with some pretty big, vengeance filled names: Altidore, Bradley, that Italian guy. This is bad news with Chad Marshall sitting this one out with back problems. Seattle will want to be killing it up front from the beginning and not giving the whole damn stadium heart problems waiting so late in the game to get it together.

Toronto's Giovinco (that Italian guy mentioned above) is coming here having scored two goals on Wednesday against... ORLANDO? Holy crap, Toronto parked their moose at YYZ airport, got on a plane to Florida then immediately hop on another plane across the dang country to Seattle. Most of the Sounders FC will only have to drive over from Renton - except for Ozzie Alonso, he'll be tunneling in like the freaking honey badger he is.

Also, we miss you, Brad Evans.
