A Zoom call prompt with Gregr and Stone Gossard

While some of us have gotten really good at Zoom backgrounds, Stone Gossard has been busy polishing up new music from a new-not-really-new project, Painted Shield (below), relaunching his label to have somewhere to put the record into the world, and doing a ton of dishes. That's right, we're all experiencing parts of the pandemic in similar ways even when you're Pearl Jam successful.

Listen to our chat here:

As for Painted Shield, I've heard several songs and absolutely love it. I didn't really know what to expect, but the reality of putting these four minds together is just great. I'm walking away from having listened knowing that I need to put some time into hearing more Matt Chamberlain, more Mason Jennings, and discovering Seattle keyboadist and singer Brittany Davis. The album drops on Record Store Day 11/27/20.

In Pearl Jam musings, the band is actively engaging with would be voters to get on board with the election. They're want everyone to text PJ VOTES to 52886 (message and data rates apply) to make sure you're registered and ready or to get registered if you are not yet.

They'll also be streaming a celebratory concert via Nugs.net on the anniverary of the first ever live show... THIRTY YEARS AGO!!
