Here's How to Make Your CDC Recommended Face Cover

The CDC Now Recommends Covering Your Face in Public

April 6, 2020

I made a video to show you how to make a mask to wear when you have to go in public after seeing the US Surgeon general recommend it.

Very simple for a quick mask for when you must go out. You’ll need to make adjustments to fit your face - I certainly will! -@heygregr #stayconnectedtogether

Over the weekend I made my trip to the grocery store and sorta felt like a nerd for bringing a 3M dust mask with me to wear while shopping. When I got out of my car, almost everyone was masked-up and I felt good about my community. The masks ranged from scarves to sewn nice looking covers to devices like my own that were all an effort to stop the goo and germs coming in/out of our faces. Short of an N95 with well shaven face and excellent hygiene, nothing's gonna be perfect, but the CDC changed their recommendation on masks and so I'm down to try everything to get us healthy and back to work.

Please, stay at home or keep your exercise to open-air spots not designed for high foot traffic. My buddy sent me a photo of all the traffic parked outside the closed Rattlesnake Ridge trailhead over the weekend and it was depressing to see how wide of the mark we're getting it. I haven't been perfect, either, but I'm trying my best to stay safe for my family, my friends, and my community.
