Rob Paulsen is largely responsible for how weird I am today and perhaps even you, too. He's a voice actor responsible for some of the most iconic cartoons since the early 80's. Most notably, he voiced Yakko on the beloved Animaniacs

Let me start with a video, because it comes up alot in the coming interview:

Rob brought to life characters that have been around my whole life. From Transformers (G1) to G.I. Joe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to Jimmy Neutron, and he's been part of one the biggest budget television animations, Steven Spielberg's Animaniacs as the voice of Yakko Warner and Pinky from "Pinky and the Brain".

Rob's bringing a live show to town on Friday (1/11) at Fremont Abbey where he and pianist Randy Rogel will perform the songs from Animaniacs including "Countries of the World" for a two hour live show + (if time allows) some audience Q&A. Almost sold out, but tickets are here.

Rob called in and dazzled me with tales of working on Animaniacs, his long career being the Ninja Turtles guy, and about growing older and meeting the people he inspired to be the next generation of cartoon writers, animator, and voice actors.

Oh my god that episode of Rick and Morty, as Snowball he's the best part and I had NO idea!

Here's a compilation of his incredible work as Pinky:

By listening to this, I hope you understand the degree of incredible this man reaches. Rob is so silly because he pushed himself to work hard and have fun. If only all of us could stay that cool and achieve this level of positivity!
