Hozier @ Showbox 10.21 and EndSession 10.22

October 22, 2014

Every now and then you hear a song on the radio and know immediately it's going to be a hit.  A few that come to mind off the top of my head...Gotye "Somebody I used to know"  Lorde "Royals" and Macklemore "Thrift Shop."  They are just too catchy not to be popular.

The song "Take Me To Church" by Hozier clearly falls into that category. Hozier has absolutely blown up in the music world at a rapid pace and shows no sign of slowing down his momentum. This past Saturday he was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live.  Monday night he was on stage in front of a very packed Showbox in Seattle and on Tuesday afternoon at 1pm with a cup of hot tea in hand he and his band mates performed at Fremont Abbey Arts Center in what turned out to be one of the most beautiful Endsessions I've seen.

The video from the EndSession will be up shortly, make sure you check it out as you won't want to miss it!

For now, here are some photos from the Showbox and Endsession at Fremont Abbey Arts Center, a nonprofit bringing all ages music & arts events to Upper Fremont, Ballard, and Capitol Hill. Hozier is already scheduled to come back to Seattle next February at the Paramount Theater.  It's already sold out...the man is on fire.

During the meet n greet after Ayron Jones of Ayron Jones and the Way showed Hozier some love.

I had to stand on my tippy toes to get this shot.  It looks like Hozier is justa hair taller than GregR but if you check out the shoes it appears the Docs might be providing an unfair height advantage for the Irishman.
