It's been real, you guys.

February 16, 2016

After three really fun years at The End and eight years in radio, I'm officially hanging up my headphones. Not sure for how long, but definitely for the foreseeable future. Honestly, I got into radio because I wanted to work at The End. It was literally a dream come true for me to be here and I can't thank you all enough for listening to me every single day. This was not an easy decision to make, but I'm ready for a new challenge in my life and I think it's time to move on...

I thought it might be fun to take a trip down memory lane and highlight some of my favorite moments at The End, so here we go!

My first day. You have no idea how excited I was to be in this building and find a Fiona Apple plaque on the wall.

Visiting Vance Joy at Bear Creek Studios while he was recording "Dream Your Life Away". I was lucky enough to watch James go from a completely unknown artist to a huge star and I could not be more proud.

Going to Sasquatch with the whole team for the first/last time. That was 2013. We broadcasted live and witnessed some amazing Endsessions. And the breakfast burritos! So good.

Sitting side stage with Eddie Vedder for Jack White's show at The Paramount. I have never felt more out of place in my life.

The day Gregr and I had a tie dye party to get ready for Summer Camp!

When Cupcake Royale sent me a dozen cupcakes for my birthday. Sweetest. Birthday. Ever!

When Manley & I almost caught the measles by going to a Kings of Leon show.

That time Ben Gibbard and I both had broken bones and took this picture of our injuries.

Getting to meet some of my favorite Seahawks like Hauschka and Wilson! Oh, and the Super Bowl parade which may have been the coldest Seattle day I've ever experienced. Worth it.

Being on The X-Files Fandom Panel at GeekGirlCon!

Open mic night with Meg Myers! Love her.

Sneaking into the photo pit at Sasquatch '15 so I could see Father John Misty up close. No regrets, but I do feel bad for yelling at that security guard.

DTHB '14 was probably my favorite day at The End. The lineup was insane. The show was sold out. Vance Joy was there. It was perfect.

Locals Only expanding to 2 hours and getting a better time slot. This was so much fun. Seattle has the best local music scene in the world!

Drinking wine with my favorite band, Okkervil River, before their concert at The Showbox! Life changing experience.

SIRVANA! Wow, I almost forgot about this. Seeing Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl, & the remaining members of Nirvana play Safeco Field was incredible. Beyond words.

Taking photos with Alabama Shakes and TV On The Radio. I don't get starstruck often, but these bands are the best.

Getting verified on Twitter. I mean, come on. That's pretty friggen cool.

Playing "baseball" with Macklemore at Safeco & seeing my name on the big screen!

When Kim from Matt & Kim told me to "drop my vagina to the floor" at Summer Camp after I asked her for dance tips.

The Game of Thrones premiere at Seattle Cinerama in 2013. I saw Jon Snow in the flesh. 10/10 would do again.

Hanging out with these nerds every day has been pretty great, too. Gonna miss these guys a lot.

I could go on and on, really. Working here has been a blast. Thanks again for listening to me and letting me be apart of your favorite radio station. If you miss me, I'll still be on Twitter, Snapchat, & Instagram but I'm changing my name from pepperthedj to clevergirllll because all the good usernames were already taken. And because Jurassic Park, duh. If you're curious where I'm going... I'll be joining the awesome weirdos over at Cheezburger and posting silly memes and cat videos all day. Pretty excited about it. See you around, Seattle! xo
