Jack White covers Stevie Wonder with...Kermit the Frog

'White Stripes' rocker helps the Muppet win back his girl

March 2, 2016

It is a really hard time to be  Kermit the Frog. It was the last episode of the season of The Muppets and he was running out of time to win his long-time love, Miss Piggy, back before it was too late (we've all been there).

Unfortunately for the rest of us, we don't have run-ins with Jack White where we can convince him to play a little Stevie Wonder to win our significant others back like Kermit. In probably the best cameo of the year (it's only March, people), White (The White Stripes, Dead Weather) showed up to play Wonder's You Are the Sunshine of My Life live with the Muppets' house band, The Electric Mayhem.

Shortly after the episode aired, two versions of the recording showed up on Apple Music; one with The Electric Mayhem and the second, the lone rocker jams out to the tune all by himself. If you subscribe to Apple Music, you can go listen to the tunes here.

Also in the link above, you can watch Kermit and Jack breifly cover The White Stripes' Fell In Love With A Girl. It's just as good as it sounds.
