Mac DeMarco Announces New LP and Tour

Canadian singer-songwriter Mac DeMarco announced that he’s got a new album on the way. We’re sufficiently stoked.

The album, This Old Dog, is due out May 5th, and according to DeMarco, “The majority of this album is acoustic guitar, synthesizer, some drum machine, and one song is electric guitar. So this is a new thing for me.”

Speaking of new, the two tracks he just released (which will appear on This Old Dog) have a sleepier sound, and that can perhaps be attributed to the fact that the upcoming album was written during his move from NYC to the more relaxed West Coast. Check out each new track below.

Along with the new album, DeMarco also announced his upcoming tour, which kicks off in March and ends in late May. See the full list of tour dates below:
