Celebrating Kurt Cobain's Life on the 25th Anniversary of His Passing

April 3, 2019

It's hard to believe that it's been 25 years since the day Seattle stopped; the day we learned of the passing of Kurt Cobain.

An icon the likes of which come around once in a generation, Kurt not only brought Alternative music/grunge/The Seattle Sound to the mainstream, but he also gave a voice to the voiceless, by standing up for LGBTQ and women’s rights, and generally seeming like “one of us” in a world of over the top pop and rock stars.

His life changed the world, as did his death. To honor his legacy, we will be playing Nirvana songs at the top of every hour this Friday, along with a special hour of Resurrection Sunday dedicated to his music at 9am.

If you or someone you know is having thoughts of suicide, there are a number of resources available including the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-8255. They offer free and confidential support if you are in distress or are looking for prevention and crisis resources.
