Marshawn Lynch's best moments in Seattle according to us

Goodbye, Beastmode and thanks for the memories

February 8, 2016

You may have missed it, but in the midst of a sleepy Super Bowl between the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers, Beast Mode Marshawn Lynch alluded to his retirement in the most Marshawn Lynch way he could - on Twitter...with an emoji.

Take it how you will, but it seems like Marshawn's pro career has come to it's final stop here in Seattle. With plenty of memorable moments on the gridiron, one-liners in the media room and a handful of crotch grabs into the endzone, which memories stuck out to The End staff the most?

Beastmode’s sense of humor about the botched end to Super Bowl 49 elevates his lovability higher than anyone exiting Harrison Ford’s trailer. Though I was never a fan of The League until a week ago, Lynch’s casual appearance soaking up sun on the beach makes this character complete.

There are so many moments to choose from... The 2011 BeastQuake (AKA my birthday miracle), “I’m just here so I won’t get fined”, throwing skittles into the crowd during Seattle’s Super Bowl parade, the way he retired: with a tweet, a pic, & an emoji

And this:

Marshawn Lynch throwing Skittles at me is my first memory of Seattle. My first day at The End and in Seattle just happened to coincide with the Seahawks Super Bowl victory and the subsequent parade.  I thought it was for me at first (how flattering!) until a grape skittle upside the head courtesy of Beast Mode knocked some sense into me.

Hardly anyone knows he was born in Spokane! Dokken was a big influence on me as a kid, and I listened to a lot of Lynch Mob when learning to play guitar. Oh wait, that was George Lynch. I don’t know much about Marshawn, is he the sports ball Beast Mode guy that likes skittles?
