On Monday, November 6, Jack White was the keynote speaker at Detroit’s Making Vinyl conference. The musician, who opened Third Man Pressing in his Detroit hometown earlier this year, addressed hundreds of vinyl manufacturers, retailers, and suppliers.

His speech focused on his passion of vinyl and desire to see the industry continue to expand, and according to Billboard, White gave out some tasty music updates.

In his Q&A, he revealed that his next solo album is nearly finished. And not only is it almost done but it’s apparently “bizzare.” Knowing White, it’s going to be weird in the best way. It sounds like he just needs to sit on the album for a bit and plans on listening to it by himself “for a while.”

It’s been a few years since his latest album, Lazaretto, came out in 2014, but it seems like we might be looking at a new album from Jack White by 2018.
