Last year, Radiohead guitarist Ed O’Brien hinted that he may potentially put out a solo album. And according to a recent interview with Esquire, it looks like that’s about to come true!

In the interview, O’Brien said the solo album was inspired by Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Not overtly so. But just enough. It's also being produced by Flood and Catherine Marks and features a band consisting of Dave Okumu (The Invisible), Omar Hakim (drummer on David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance”), and Nathan East.

Not only has O’Brien already started recording the album but he’s aiming to have it completed by Summer 2018. Because Radiohead's been touring longer than originally anticipated, the album is expected to drop in late 2018 or early 2019.

Another noteworthy comment? Apparently Radiohead are thinking about some tour dates in 2018. So there’s that.
