Morrissey at the Moore 03.06.13

March 6, 2013
Morrissey took the stage downtown Seattle at the Moore theater at 8:30 and by 8:31 his fans went absolutely ape-s@*t.  With no photo pit to pamper my spoiled self I had to finagle my way down to the front of the theater bumping my cameras and fanny pack into everyone around me with an a pologetic smile.  Turns out it was all for nothing because when Morrissey came out the crowd surged forward in an aggressive and at one point violent manner.  I joked to a friend that everyone was all wound up because of their severe iron deficiancy resulting from their strict vegan diet b ut no joke...Morrissey fans are serious!

I had walked through the lobby attracting some intense stink-eye from the people manning the PETA desk.  Maybe it was my leather jacket and bacon socks...who can be sure really (yes, I did wear bacon socks to a Morrissey  Either way, I felt on edge.

The show began and as mentioned it was a bit intense near the front.  That being said I had photos to take so while the always amazing security team at the Moore took care of business I snapped my shutter.  Morrissey with his yellow fingernail polish and flamboyant gestures had the packed house in the palm of his hands.  I couldn't hear him singing as much as I would have liked because everyone around me knew every lyric and was singing at the top of their lungs.  This was not the typical Seattle head swaying, keeping it cool in our skinny jeans show.  Maybe we should withold meat from all concert goers for at least a couple of days before each event.  The intensity was refreshing!

Thanks for checking out the blog.
