Passion Pit EndSession @ B47 Studios 03.03.15

Passion Pit performed an intimate EndSession at B47 Studios in Seattle late Tuesday afternoon. The performance started with a keyboard, an electric guitar and a mic and eventually evolved to just Michael Angelakos and an acoustic guitar. We were treated to a unique performance in anticipation of the ir new album Kindred scheduled to be released on April 21.

An endearing moment of the performance was when Michael provided some insight into his marriage and to the name of the new song Lifted Up (1985). Someone in a previous interview had apparently made a comparison of the song name to Taylor Swifts hit album 1989. Michael apparently scoffed at the question and said it wasn't about following a trend but the song was named simply because it's the year his wife was born.  It turns out his wife didn't like her birth year being publicly announced. I don't think mine would either. He did say that she likes the song so at least there is that :)

Passion Pit kicks off a new tour in less than 2 weeks and will return to Seattle for 2 shows at the Showbox May 19 and 20.
