It's totally possible that you haven't even heard of one of the best music festivals in the PNW. Whether you know it or not, Doe Bay Fest happens each summer at the Doe Bay Resort and Retreat out on Orcas Island and it's always epic.

Doe Bay Fest really flies under the radar, probably because they don't really advertise all that much (if at all). Most years the festival sells out before the lineup is even announced. That's the trust the Doe Bay faithful put in this fesitval and its bookers, Artist Home.

If you are familiar with the Timber! Outdoor Music Fest in Carnation or the Timbrrr! Winter Music Festival in Leavenworth, then you know the good folks at Artist Home Booking well enough to understand why Doe Bay doesn't need to advertise. The lineups are always great and the fewer bands you know equals the more fun you're going to have and you're probably going to find a handful of new favorite bands and artists.

The lineup for the 11th year of Doe Bay Fest was just announced and it is loaded with Locals Only favorites as well as a bunch of bands that might be local but I've never heard of. I'm actually educating myself as I write this and I am already willing to say that I will be playing lots of Kuinka and Fallon Sierra on Locals Only in the future. Also, Planes On Paper are doing a Simon &Garfunkle sing-along. They are also my guests on Locals Only this Sunday so we will be talking about this for sure.

It doesn't really feel possible to properly capture the magic of Doe Bay Fest with my words alone. So let's just get familiar with some of the local acts making the trip to Orcas.

Pedro The Lion

Acid Tongue

The Black Tones

The Dip

Honcho Poncho
