Locals Only Playlist: March 5, 2017 with Gibraltar

March 7, 2017

Locals Only was bittersweet this week. We played lots of great new music, had Gibraltar in as guests and we said goodbye to Tim, who has been here helping steer the ship every Sunday night during Locals Only.

2017 Capitol Hill Block Party Lineup

In the first hour, Tim played some of his favorite local track from artists like Blue Scholars, Fly Moon Royalty, Sol, Brothers From Another and a friend of Tim's who goes by Jasn. Tim is off to follow his dreams of making Skynet self-aware and I want to wish him all the best. Thank you for your help and knowledge, friend. You will be missed.

Locals Only Artist of the Month: Minus the Bear

In hour number two we were joined by local band Gibraltar who are about to release a very good album called Let's Get Beautiful. We ate cookies, talked about the new record and listened to a few of the new tracks. In the end, we concluded that you should all be in attendance at their release show this Saturday (March 11) at Barboza and you should buy a CD.

Gibraltar will be joined by Head Like A Kite and Wiscon. This is a fantastic local bill.

We also played brand new music from Portugal. The Man and Father John Misty. The rest of the playlist is below:
