Locals Only Playlist: November 4th with Point Of Arches and Kevin Sur

Point Of Arches

Supported by Rainier Beer

Sunday night was packed with lots of music premiers from old friends and new friends. In the first hour I was joined by a newer Seattle band called Point Of Arches. While these guys haven't been around long, their new EP Vestigial has quickly become one of my favorite releases of the year. We talked about their roots, what it was like going into the studio for the first time, and how it feels to finally be putting their music out into the world.

In the second hour of the show one of my favorite guests ever, Kevin Sur, came by. This time my visit with Kevin was a little different. Instead of talking all things Timber! Music Festival or Doe Bay, Kevin was in studio to premier music from his new album with Seattle strings wizard Andrew Joslyn. Kevin told the story of how this project came to be after six years of being hounded by Joslyn and the results are truly beautiful. The Love Between will be released tonight (Friday 11/9) at the Fremont Abbey Arts Center. There might be a few tickets left but not many.

We also played new music from Sloucher, Cloud Person, and J GRGRY. Here is the full playlist from Sunday night:
