Titles released for Record Store Day

June 1, 2020

When I was in high school, I would spend countless hours, let alone dollars, in record stores. I loved the art of the packaging, reading the liner notes on the back. It was my music education! This is why Record Store Day is one of my favorite holidays of the year. A day where we get to pay homage to our independent record stores, and believe me, we have plenty of great ones in Seattle!

RSD was originally scheduled for April 18th but due to a global pandemic, it was postponed... then postponed again. Now, organizers are planning three smaller event Record Store Days - August 29th, September 26th and October 24th.

Today, we got a glimpse into some of the special releases we can expect:

- David Bowie - ChangesNowBowie

- Gorillaz - G Sides and D Sides

- The Cure - Limited picture disc editions of Seventeen Secods and Bloodflowers

- Billie Eilish - Live at Third Man Records (on blue vinyl)

- New Order - 1982 Peel Sessions

- Fleetwood Mac - Alternate Rumors

- Dinosaur Jr. - Swedish Fish (live album from 1997 show in Stockholm)

- Meat Puppets - 4 track EP especially for RSD

- The Replacements - Complete Inconcerated Live

- Tegan & Sara - Tonight In The Dark We Are Seeing Color (new live album)

- Beck - a double A side 7 inch featuring St. Vincent
