Chihuly Garden and Glass

Family in town means tourism, this is a rad way to do it.

My girlfriend's mother joined us for Thanksgiving this year. We had a busy week of running around having fun whilst stuffing our faces with things smothered in gravy. What a fantastic week. A week is a long time to entertain company. We pulled out some of the old favorites and combined them with some new stuff.

Along with visits to Alki beach, the Fremont Troll, and Gasworks Park, we decided to brave a trip to Seattle Center. Besides, it's  a chance to suck down some Skillet! I don't know about you, but I find the Space Needle amazing when looking up from the ground. I don't think it's worth the $20 to visit the observation deck - definitely should have asked my pal Mitch for tickets... Located at the base of the Space Needle, however, is one of the most impressive displays of glass art I'll likely ever see - and I've been to the Bellagio - the Chihuly Garden and Glass.

To be fair, I've seen a couple beautiful EndSessions at Chihuly Garden and Glass atrium, but had never made the time to venture through the exhibits. This proved the perfect opportunity. Check out just a couple massive pieces and then go see em for yourself!
