So, You're In Seattle... Brad Adam

A man that smiles even when the M's season gets ugly...

November 11, 2015

Here's more proof that the people that you think are radical tv personalities or stars are just dudes and gals that have funny little jobs. Brad Adam, one of the hosts of the Mariners pregame and postgame shows on Root Sports, came by at the end of the regular baseball season to dish on what happens in the life of a sports journalist. Brad joined in 2001 - remember when the Mariners were the best - and got to see the team soar... and then glide...

There's something about Brad's ability, even in the tough times, to tell us the story without sugar coating it. He gives us the skinny but without making anyone look bad. That transparency must be what earns him the trust of managers and players to talk candidly about the season. As a result, Brad has a ton of rad stories including an awesome character story about Sweet Lou (Lou Piniella).

I've always wondered what it's like to travel with a pro sports team - do the players talk to the media? Does everyone just awkwardly sit in silence? Brad helps us understand that, plus how to get the baseball players to respect you outside of Safeco...

I met Brad playing in a charity football game for the CCFA a couple years ago which should be a pretty good indicator that he's community minded on top of being charming ;)
