So, You're In Seattle... Christen Greene

Christen Helped Steer The Ship During the Rise of The Lumineers!

September 2, 2015

Christen Greene always hovers just outside my reach. She’s a figure I see all over Seattle, but I've never had a chance to really connect with and sit around with to BS for an afternoon. It turns out that Christen prefers to facilitate things happening for other people in the spotlight. For anyone who’s had any success, there’s a network behind what we see on the stage. Lurking in the shadows cast by the artists in their limelight is Christen. That sounds so dark, she's probably hanging around like a normal human and not a vampire.

Skip to the bottom to hear her tell you all of this without all the having to read all these words!

Christen is the GM of Onto Entertainment. This probably doesn’t mean much to most people. Onto Entertainment made their mark as the management team behind The Lumineers - that should click a little more… Imagine starting with a band that was all but unheard of, and watching them grow faster than one of those sponge dinosaurs in a cup of water. Watching them grow to the point where they're looking out over 60,000 fans waiting on every banjo pick, boot stomp, cryptic lyric. All while knowing that you were a part of it! You can walk out without taking a million selfies, signing people’s babies, and still enjoying a part of the success. Sounds incredible.

Following touring around the country and world, Christen picked Seattle as a new home. At a time when it’s getting more expensive to live here and our friends are moving to Austin, Nashville, and Portland, she’s here keeping Seattle awesome. After having spoken to Christen, a kind, quick witted speaker with intense direct eye contact, I would not f*** with her. Plus, I hear she can shoot one hell of a jump shot…After having spoken to Christen, a kind, quick witted speaker with intense, direct eye contact, I would not f*** with her.
