Thank You Seattle

This was originally going to be a photo gallery. My baby brother, his wife, and my best friend came to town this weekend to visit.  And what a weekend it was!  Not only did I pull some strings to get them ON THE FIELD at the Sounders match, but I also took them backstage to meet the guys from Death Cab for Cutie!  Brother of the year, amirite?  This was originally going to be a photo gallery. They had their first Seattle pint at Pine Box, day drank through Ballard, slammed Moscow Mules at Montana, and even had pumpkin beers at Reuben's. SO MUCH DRINKING! This was originally going to be a photo gallery. Saturday Morning was spent exploring all the nooks and crannies at Pike Market. This was originally going to be a photo gallery. We ate dumplings at Din Tai Fung one night (along with Molly Moon's for desert), took the Lil Woody's and Dick's taste test (Lil Woody's for the win) another, and my sister and law had a vicious affair with Pie Bar. This was originally going to be a photo gallery.  But its not.  Turns out we didn't live life through the lens of our cameras this weekend, and I think that's amazing!  Our memories won't be facebook or instagram posts.  They will be in the smells of fresh fruit and piping hot donuts straight out of the deep frier. They will be in the stitching of a Sub Pop hat. They will be at the bottom of a pint of Manny's. They will be the echoes of 60,000 fans participating in boom boom clap.  And they will be forever, because we took a minute to live life instead of documenting it.  I beg you to do the same! Seattle, I fell in love with you all over again this weekend. THANK YOU for being you. This was originally going to be a photo gallery.
